Aberdour and Dalgety Bay Guiding
Aberdour and Dalgety Bay Guiding now has 3 Rainbow , 4 Brownies, 3 Guides and 1 Senior Section units within the 2 villages, but it would be good to increase that further if we could
The girls enjoy a full and active programme within their weekly programes, and also a range of District events that run throughout the year, Rainbows can start after their 5th Birthday and you can stay with guiding all the way to adulthood if you fancy.
We are always looking for helpers and leaders, and would love to re-open Rainbows in Aberdour, and find new leaders for the Aberdour Brownies for after the Summer - can you help, call me to find out what's involved, Heather McLean on 418816 or email me on heather@bekat.co.uk. Aberdour Brownies urgently need new leaders as soon as possible - could you help out please call to find out more - without new leaders this unit looks likely to close which will leave the village with only a Guide Unit. We would need 2 Leaders and 1 helper for Rainbows and the same for Brownies to keep it open, its fun and enjoyable, and you get the pleasure of seeing the girls grow and develop during their childhood. Yes if you are a leader there is planning and paperwork involved but its not that bad, and the other leaders or helpers can assist you to share out the load, please think about it and call us, we need you to keep guiding alive in Aberdour.
This year the Rainbows celebrate 25 years, and as a district we hope all sections will celebrate with an event we are organising.
If you would like your child to go on our waiting list for Rainbows, Brownies or Guides please email all details to Elizabeth Parish at dalgetybayrainbows@hotmail.co.uk and she will ensure your daughter's name is added to the list. All sections have long waiting lists so it may take a while.
Thanks
Heather McLean
