Aberdour Castle opens its doors for free weekend event
14 NovemberExplore one of Aberdour’s favourite historic attractions for free this month, as Aberdour Castle and Gardens opens its doors as part of a Historic Scotland special event.
Aberdour Castle is amongst among 40 venues opening up for Historic Scotland’s Visit for Free programme on Saturday 26th November and Sunday 27th November from 9.30am to 4.30pm each day.
Stephen Duncan, director of Commercial and Tourism at Historic Scotland, said: “We’ve very pleased to open our doors for free this November.
“Prospective visitors who want to visit at the weekend just need to ensure that they register in advance to have the opportunity of free access to some of the country’s top visitor attractions.”
Historic Scotland is also giving visitors to the castle and palace the opportunity to collect stamps at the over the weekend.
After they have collected their fifth sticker they are eligible to enter an online competition which offers Historic Scotland membership and a chance to win a VIP trip to either Stirling or Edinburgh Castles.
Visitors must register in advance to download their weekend pass, which gives free access for up to two adults and three children to all ticketed Historic Scotland properties on Saturday, November 26 and Sunday November 27 from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
